One of the major parts of measuring the contact angle of a droplet is image processing. In this project, image processing is defined as a process of recognizing the droplet’s borders, contact line, and the three phase point to determine its contact angle and droplet’s dimensions.
Recently, there has been a great interest in ways of reducing aerodynamic and hydrodynamic drag on foils. The optimum condition happens when the ratio of lift to drag is at its highest. Jikan is going to optimize hydrofoil performance using surface nano-engineering and surface patterning instead of optimizing the geometry.
